The Caribbean breeze has sent a new gem out to the world, from the small yet diverse island of St. Vincent. Born Carlson Hannaway, the cool, humble singer/songwriter is making waves with an album that oozes energy. Titled ‘Better Way’, the album has songs that range from dancehall-trip to reggae-lifestyle, changing the tempo and creating a vibe. D’Termine is focused on pushing his fans to new heights, finding the silver lining and enjoying life.

His early life in St. Vincent was rooted in reggae, his father was also a musician who championed roots-reggae in his country. As a second-generation artiste, there will definitely be some high expectations of him to step up and step out, making his own mark in the music industry. St. Vincent definitely does not have a large camp of artistes who are current, so it is refreshing to see D’Termine put out a full body of work, showing that he is more than capable.

Dtermine also has put together a very well-rounded team that has the ability to take him to new places. The St. Vincent native has worked alongside amazing producers such as like Dale Virgo (credited, Drake, Cecile, Amy Whinehouse, Agent Sasco, Ghana) along with Push A Yute (Grammy nominated producer for Daville). Tracks like “Better Way” and “Wine For Me” are early contenders off this brand-new album. The Caribbean songwriter has shown that he is a force to be reckoned with, strong word-play, entertaining flows and a beat that you have to dance to.

He looks great and has the potential to be a favourite among the girls, locally and internationally. Great things are on his horizon, doors will open and he will glide right through. His album is due to be out this Octiber, hitting the streets with a bang. Stay tuned for more from this gem of the Caribbean.
